4 DAYS RWANDA GORILLA TOUR AND CHIMPANZEE TRACKING

Day 1: Arrival and city tour (if time allows)

You will be picked by our guide/driver on arrival at Kigali international airport and be transferred to Da Vinci Lodge at Volcanoes National Park for dinner and overnight there. Enjoy the drive through Kigali city as you head out to the home of mountain Gorillas in the Virunga mountains.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for briefing with other visitors to be briefed on the guidelines and to be allocated a gorilla family to track. In case you’re interested in a particular gorilla family or any special requests, you will need to inform your safari guide/driver in time because allocation of gorilla families is done randomly. Gorilla tracking begins early in the morning and you will spend one full hour with the gorillas from the time of contact. You will then return and have lunch at the lodge. After lunch you will have a community visit to see how the local people go about their lives as you interact. Check out of the Lodge and transfer to Nyungwe top View Hotel.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and Canopy walk in Nyungwe forest

After an early morning breakfast transfer to south western part of Rwanda to Nyungwe national park for Chimpanzee tracking. You will report to the park headquarters for briefing before you head out to the forest for the Exciting moment with habituated chimps. You will meet several other primates like the white and black colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys and baboons. You will return to the lodge for lunch.  After lunch you will go for canopy walk for an aerial view of Nyungwe forest, you will have the view of several primates, birds on a suspended walk way on top of the forest. You will then go back to the lodge for dinner and sleep at Nyungwe forest lodge.

Day 4: City tour (museum, genocide memorials)

You will wake to an early morning breakfast and depart to Kigali town to visit the genocide memorial grounds and the national museum in butare.
