Gorilla In Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Day 1: Arrival- Kampala/Entebbe

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet your local Shoebill guide and transfer to your hotel in Either Entebbe or Kampala. Depending on your time of arrival, optional birding orientation at Botanical gardens. There are various beautiful bird species here, if you are a keen birder. Monkeys and other wildlife are visible as well. Not forgetting the cool breeze from Lake Victoria.  Dinner and overnight Papyrus Guest House B

Day 2: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast begin the journey to Uganda’s most beautiful protected Park. Rhino tracking at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Masindi, lunch and proceed to Murchison Falls N.P. We will pass via top of the falls for a scenic view of the falls from above.

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park

After a rather early breakfast, we go for a morning game drive for chances of featuring several wildlife of this Park. Notable are elephants, giraffes, lions, hartebeests and many more. There are various birds too here. Return to the lodge later, relax and chat the mid-morning away. After lunch launch cruise on the Nile. There are several hippos and crocodiles among other game. On a lucky day you might see the Shoebill/s from which our company derives its name.

Day 4: Murchison Falls to Kibale National Park

We depart from Murchison Falls to Fort Portal with lunch en route. Various stopovers to the beautiful landscapes. Optional visit to one of the local homes to equip yourself with the day today life of the local people here and also to support the community. Proceed to Fort Portal. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Guest House B-L-D)

Day 5: Kibale Forest National Park.

After breakfast, chimpanzee tracking. This is normally a very short walk to the real cousins of humans.  Kibale Forest has got the highest concentration of primates in East Africa, a reason it’s known as the primate capital of the Africa. Kibale Forest is not only known for the chimps but other wildlife: forest elephants and monkeys. Its’ also a home to several forest bird species among others. Afternoon free time or drive to the tea estates

Day 6: Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth national Park. The landscape along the route is breath taking. It’s characterized by crater lakes, small lakes and rolling hills. On a clear day you will see the snow-capped Mt. Rwenzori National Park. Continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Lion tracking and evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at Park View Safari Lodge (B-L-D)

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park

A rather early cup of tea or coffee, with our packed breakfast we head to the Uganda Kobs mating ground. Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat. Afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga Channel, a natural channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. There is vibrant wildlife species here like elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast, morning game drive around Ishasha area for chances of tree climbing lions and other game. Picnic lunch and proceed to Bwindi, a home to the endangered Mountain gorillas arriving in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight Silverback Lodge B-L-D)

Day 9: Gorilla tracking- Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

The highlight and probably the most memorable moment of your safari is meeting the gentle forest giants of Bwindi, the gorillas! Expect to walk a reasonable distance in steep and sometimes muddy trails in this beautiful Forest before you encounter gorillas. However, the walk is worthwhile as you watch the family eat, play and rest typical of a family human setting. The silverback will constantly remind the babies to behave. Evening community walk, there are several craft shops where you can get authentic souvenirs. Dinner and overnight Silverback Lodge B-L-D

Day 10: Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast return journey back to Kampala/Entebbe. Stopover at the equator for memorable photography. There are various souvenir shops here too. Drop off at Entebbe if late departures or a night in Entebbe or Kampala.
